
UCU men’s tennis falls 4-3 at UVA Wise
Wise, Va. – The Union Commonwealth University men's tennis team fell short at Division II opponent UVA Wise on Friday. The Bulldogs won the doubles point, but fell short 4-3.
Doubles:
Artsiom Sinitsyn and Sebastian Stipanov (Union) defeated Yi-Hsuan Chen and Daniel Gonzalez Garza 7-6 (7-4).
Miguel De Rueda and Chathurya Nilaweera defeated Luke Geduldt and Victor Bourguignon (Union) 6-2.
Enzo Sebastien and Daniel Caballeros (Union) defeated Diego Pedrero and Hsin-Nuo Hsieh 6-4.
Singles:
Artsiom Sinitsyn (Union) defeated Dmitrii Semenov 6-4, 2-6, 6-4.
Yi-Hsuan Chen defeated Luke Geduldt (Union) 6-3, 6-4.
Victor Bourguignon (Union) defeated Chatchurya Nilaweera 6-3, 7-6 (7-4).
Miguel De Rueda defeated Enzo Sebastien (Union) 6-4, 6-2.
Daniel Gonzalez Garza defeated Yassine Azehaf (Union) 6-0, 5-7, 6-3.
Vanja Vojinovic defeated Sebastian Stipanov (Union) 3-6, 6-3, 6-3.
The Bulldogs are now 0-2 this season, while UVA Wise is 5-2. Up next for Union is a road conference match against Johnson on Wednesday, Feb. 12, at 2:00 p.m.
