No. 16 Union defeats No. 24 Oakland City

Harrogate, Tenn. – The No. 16 Union College men's tennis team defeated No. 24 Oakland City on Tuesday at Lincoln Memorial. The Bulldogs won 4-2.

Doubles:

Francisco Perez and Andres Perez Perez defeated Diego Garcia Gil and Daniel Caballeros (Union) 4-6.

Juanes Pinto and Christian Salmeron defeated Harry Jordan and Joao Cardoso (Union) 7-6.

Luke Geduldt and Victor Bourguignon (Union) defeated Louki Nivarlet and Samarbir Sidhu 6-4.

Singles:

Diego Garcia Gil (Union) defeated Francisco Perez 1-6, 7-5, 7-5.

Andres Perez Perez defeated Niccolo Chiriatti (Union) 1-6, 7-6, 6-3.

Luke Geduldt (Union) defeated Juanes Pinto 6-1, 6-2.

Victor Bourguignon (Union) defeated Christian Salmeron 6-3, 6-1.

Harry Jordan (Union) vs. Matias Rocha (unfinished).

Joao Cardoso (Union) defeated Sebastian Bahamondes 6-3, 6-0.

The Bulldogs are now 5-7 this season, while Oakland City is 6-3. Up next for Union is a road conference match against Milligan on Friday, March 15, at 1:00 p.m.
