The Bulldogs fall 5-2 against Belmont Abbey

Harrogate, Tenn. – For the second day in a row, the Union College men's tennis team played against a Division II opponent. The Bulldogs faced Belmont Abbey on Friday at Lincoln Memorial. Union won the doubles point, but Belmont Abbey won the match 5-2.

Doubles:

Christian Winstead and Zak Vince defeated Harry Jordan and Joao Cardoso (Union) 6-3.

Diego Garcia Gil and Daniel Caballeros (Union) defeated Nicholas Cary and Jackson Korta 7-6.

Luke Geduldt and Victor Bourguignon (Union) defeated Kai Lloveras and Ricard Novell 6-3.

Singles:

Luke Geduldt (Union) defeated Zak Vince 6-2, 6-4.

Charlies Fremaux defeated Harry Jordan (Union) 6-0, 6-3.

Kai Lloveras defeated Kacper Gorecki (Union) 4-6, 6-3, 10-6.

Ricard Novell defeated Victor Bourguignon (Union) 6-3, 6-0.

Jackson Korta defeated Joao Cardoso (Union) 6-1, 7-5.

Sullivan Monteith defeated Daniel Caballeros (Union) 6-3, 3-6, 10-8.

The Bulldogs are now 1-4 this season, while Belmont Abbey is now 5-4. Up next for Union are matchups against Cumberland and Lincoln Memorial respectively on Sunday, Feb. 18.
