UCU wins 2-1 over St. Andrews

Laurinburg, N.C. - The Union Commonwealth University men's soccer team secured a 2-1 victory over St. Andrews on Saturday afternoon. 

The Bulldogs earned their first win at St. Andrews since 2016. Isa Bramble and Diogo Costa scored in the first half, while Costa scored his first UCU goal off a free kick. 

Daniel Harrison recorded two saves. UCU had 12 shots with five on goal, while St. Andrews had seven shots, three on goal.

The Bulldogs advanced to 3-1-1 (2-0 AAC) on the season, while St. Andrews fell to 2-3 (0-2 AAC). Up next for Union is a home conference match against Johnson on Wednesday, Sept. 18, at 7:00 p.m.
