Union men's bowling secures top-five finishes at the Orange and Black Classic
Beavercreek, Oh. - The Union Commonwealth University men's bowling team competed at the Orange and Black Classic this past weekend.
The Bulldogs finished third on Saturday with 5,234 pins. They competed against nine other teams. On Sunday, UCU placed fourth with 4,648 pins in five baker games, facing 10 teams.
Charles Goguen led the team, he secured eighth place with an individual total of 1,003 pins and a tournament average of 200.6. His standout moment came in the first Baker game, where he achieved a high score of 225.
David Painter and Zach Lipson finished closely together in 10th and 11th place, respectively. Painter recorded a total of 982 pins with a tournament average of 196.4, including a game-high score of 218. Lipson followed closely with 970 pins and a 194 average. He delivered a high score of 246 in the baker games.
Hunter Cain had 825 pins, averaging 165 across the tournament. Rieley Ulanday competed in four Baker games, scoring a total of 124 pins with an average of 181. Anthony Sousis participated in one baker game, posting a total of 144 pins and matching that for his tournament average.
