Union overcomes Lindsey Wilson 77-67

Barbourville, Ky. – The Union Commonwealth University men's basketball team hosted Lindsey Wilson on Saturday afternoon. The Bulldogs picked up a 77-67 victory. UCU led by as many as 16 points.

UCU's Ben Underwood tallied a double-double with 23 points and 11 rebounds. He was tied for the most points in the matchup, while registering the most rebounds.

His 23 points is the fourth most by any Bulldog this season, and a season-high for Underwood. Underwood's 11 rebounds is the most by any Union Bulldog this season.

Micah Engle tallied 11 points, while Sam Conley registered 10 points to go with six rebounds, five assists, and three steals. Conley led all players in both assists and steals.

Dallas Rufus contributed nine points, while Luca Stubel tallied six points. Allister Dixon and Kenny Garth each recorded five points. Kaleb McLendon, Kenton Wright, and Jabari Covington also scored for UCU.

The Bulldogs are now 6-6 this season, while Lindsey Wilson is 10-3. Up next for UCU is a matchup against Cumberlands on Monday, Dec. 30, at 4:00 p.m.
