Valley, Ala. – The Union Commonwealth University football team played at Point on Saturday. The Bulldogs fell short 29-15.
In the third quarter, UCU QB Bryson Grabowski connected with Taji Jackson on a 63-yard touchdown pass. The Bulldogs trailed 19-7 with 13:38 to go in the third.
Union's second TD of the game occurred with 14:08 to play in the fourth quarter off a 1-yard touchdown run by Jackson. The Bulldogs were successful on the two-point conversion attempt.
Grabowski was 10-of-26 through the air for 137 yards and one touchdown. Grabowski registered 14 carries for 66 yards, which led all players in each category.
Jackson recorded two catches for 71 yards and one touchdown. Tony Norman and Isaiah Johnson each tallied two catches.
Jason Burley registered five total tackles, which led UCU in that category. Burley and Kam Bradshaw each tallied one sack. Keke McMurry, Ty Ellis, DJ Washington, and Byron Gee each tallied four total tackles for the Bulldogs.
UCU is now 3-6 (2-3 AAC) this season, while Point is 4-6 (4-1 AAC). Up next for the Bulldogs is a home game against Reinhardt on Saturday, Nov. 16, at 1:30 p.m. That matchup features Senior Day for Union.
