Seven Union football players named to the AAC’s 2024 Players to Watch List
Barbourville, Ky. – The Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) recently released its 2024 Football Players to Watch List. Union Commonwealth University had seven players appear on the list.
Union Football Players on the AAC's Players to Watch List:
Taji Jackson (RB) - Jackson was a First-Team All-AAC selection last season. He was named to the 2024 Kentucky Collegiate All Commonwealth Team. Last season, he was named the AAC Offensive Player of the Week for registering 162 rushing yards off 11 carries with one rushing touchdown and one catch for 38 yards in Union's 44-0 win over KCU.
Tony Norman (WR) - Norman led Union in catches (50) and receiving yards (643) last season. He was named to the 2023 and 2024 Kentucky Collegiate All Commonwealth Team.
Camron Mitchell (OL) - Mitchell was named to the 2024 Kentucky Collegiate All Commonwealth Team.
Kam Bradshaw (LB) - Bradshaw tallied 21 total tackles, two sacks, and four TFLs last season.
Byron Gee (DL) - Gee was a Second-Team All-AAC selection last season. Last season, he was named the AAC Defensive Player of the Week for recording nine total tackles, two TFLs, and 1.5 sacks at Bluefield. Gee finished the season with 8.5 sacks, which was tied for No. 12 in the NAIA.
Keke McMurry (DB) - McMurry recorded 26 total tackles, two TFLs, and one interception last season. He was named to the 2023 Kentucky Collegiate All Commonwealth Team.
Griffin Fleming (P) - Fleming averaged 36.4 yards per punt last season, while having six punts inside the 20.
