Union’s Kyle Coffey named MSC Men’s Shooter of the Week

Barbourville, Ky. - Union Commonwealth University's Kyle Coffey has been named the Mid-South Conference Men's Shooter of the Week.

This marks Coffey's first Shooter of the Week accolade, and he is the first Bulldog to earn this recognition since Jeffrey Grubb in 2021.

This past weekend, Coffey claimed the 2024 USA Archery Collegiate 3D National Championship title in men's barebow. He scored 182 in round one and 185 in round two for a total of 448 points, including six twelves. 

Coffey is now a two-time USA Archery Collegiate 3D National Champion in men's barebow, having previously earned the title in 2022. 

In addition to his individual success, Coffey also took second place in mixed barebow with partner Baylee McQueen, with a combined score of 668. He secured third place in the men's barebow team event alongside Johnathan Stanley and Preston Thompson, with the team recording a total score of 854.
