Three Union volleyball players named to the AAC’s Players to Watch List

Barbourville, Ky. – The Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) released its 2024 Volleyball Players to Watch List on Thursday. Union Commonwealth University had three players on the list.

Union Volleyball Players on the AAC's Players to Watch List:

Raquel Kessler (MH/OH) – Kessler was a First-Team All-AAC selection in 2022 and 2023. Her 350 kills was ninth in the AAC in 2022, while her 379 kills were second in the AAC last season.

Emily Shumaker (OH/RS) – Shumaker has tallied at least 231 kills in each of the past two seasons.

Berkli Benefield (RS/M)– Benefield is in her first season with the Bulldogs. She tallied eight kills In Union's 3-0 win over Shawnee State on Aug. 24.
