UCU’s Merritt named All-AAC Second Team; Redmon named to AAC’s Champions of Character Team

Barbourville, Ky. – On Tuesday, the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) released its 2025 WinWon Softball All-AAC Team and Awards.

Union Commonwealth University outfielder Megan Merritt was named All-AAC Second-Team. Merritt registered a .414 batting average on the season with 48 hits, 29 runs scored, 11 doubles, three triples, five home runs, and 19 RBIs.

Kinsley Redmon was UCU's representative on the AAC's Champions of Character Team. Redmon, Kerry Dixon, Katie Fister, Kaley Harris, Shaylin Lewis, Ryleigh McLeskey, Kaliana Pangallo, Kayla Richardson, and Ryleigh Petrey were each named to the AAC's All-Academic Team.
