The Bulldogs fall short at Montreat

Montreat, N.C. – The Union Commonwealth University men's basketball team played at Montreat on Saturday. The Bulldogs fell short 90-72.

Sam Conley tallied a team-leading 19 points, while going 9-of-17 from the floor. Jeremiah Stroman registered 13 points.

Kaleb McLendon totaled 11 points and five rebounds, while going 3-of-5 from 3-point range. Allister Dixon tallied nine points and a team-leading seven rebounds.

Dallas Rufus recorded seven points, while Micah Engle totaled four. Jabari Covington, Drew Rhodes, and Luca Stubel each tallied three points. Covington accounted for a team-leading four assists.

The Bulldogs are now 10-14 (6-12 AAC) this season, while Montreat is 16-10 (10-8 AAC). Up next for Union is a home conference game against KCU on Tuesday, Feb. 18, at 7:30 p.m.
